Simply wonderful
We had a wonderful time staying at the Elm Tree Cottage. The outside is deceptive as the inside is spacious with plenty of amenities for the traveling couple. The master bedroom was large with queen bed, Bureau, an armoire for clothes storage. The bathroom was equally large with an updated walk in shower, toilet and sink. The kitchen was complete with dishwasher, washer / dryer, pots pans dishes and everything else you need. The living room was especially nice due to the pull-out Queen sofa bed which came in handy because I snore. The eating kitchen sits four comfortably as well as the walk out deck with screened in porch with seating for 4. We had a pleasant week and look forward to coming back to stay. The location of the cottage is on a quiet street just off 103 and perfect for taking day trips in the surrounding Nova Scotia area.
Hurricane Bill - worth the price of admission, swirling wins and waves and the cottage stood like a glass fortress.
What a beautiful week. Hot and sunny! We had a great time here at Francis Louis House. It was instantly relaxing. What a beach! Timing is everything. Here comes hurricane Earl. We'd love to ride it out here but we have to leave. We will definitely return to the south shore.

The cottage is situated on an oceanfront property with views of and direct access to marvellous Port Mouton Bay. The bay is tidal and there is direct access to the water from the cottage for launching kayaks at high and low tide.Carters Beach - probably the most beautiful white sandy beach along the South Shore - is about 2 minute drive or a leisurely 20-minute walk away. Other beaches in the area include Summerville Beach; Hunts Point Beach; South West Port Mouton Beach; and the Kejimkujik Seaside Adjunct.
