It was everything we hoped it would be. Our children enjoyed the challenge of our own rocky beach. We even found a few intact sea urchins before the seagull smashed them. Other highlights of our visit were the "Trot in Time ride" through Lunenberg, Carter's Beach and Halifax. Thank you Helen and John so much for your part in our great vacation.
I am leaving tomorrow but I don't want to go. I knew the moment I stepped into this beautiful cottage that I would have a wonderful week! The cottage, the weather, Carter's Beach, Summerville, the surrounding area and general good feelings generated from the ocean and fresh air was so much worth coming to Port Mouton.
The perfect place to self isolate
5 of us stayed at Ragged Island Retreat while we were in quarantine and it was perfect. Lots of space to roam the property, we hardly ever saw anyone except the odd person clamming, or driving a truck down the road. The accommodations were simple but very comfortable, loved all the windows and the sunrises were AMAZING! Would definitely recommend if you are looking to get away from the business. The house was very clean and we were so close to several amazing beaches. Our family had a great time at Harbour Tide House!
