You can enjoy kayaking and paddle right to a lovely, secluded beach. Enjoy coffee on the deck with beautiful views. The cottage has everything you could need and is quite modern. Great kitchen for cooking and all the bedrooms were super comfortable. We saw rabbits and deer, and tons of birds. Ragged Island Retreat is a very private get away -- and you will not hear a car or other people from the cottage.
We have both had a wonderful time staying in your beatiful house in Liverpool. The investments you have made in time and care to furnishing and decorating the house have been very much appreciated. This certainly is a much different place to the Liverpool we have in our country!
A Dream Beach House
I have a lingering memory of our week at Sanderling Beach House. It is of waking up in the master bedroom and gazing out the full length windows to the sun filtering through the fog and lining the beach grasses with silver. That's just one of many that I will treasure. The house was well designed, with clear views outside, room to be together and apart, a well stocked kitchen and comfortable beds. We appreciated the colourful deck chairs (just looking at the range of shades was a treat onto itself) and the sand toys. Helen was very helpful and took a personal interest. The only drawback was the horrendous state of the 1.8 klm. road going in. It was so rough and rocky we felt it hindered our ability to go out and about exploring. Other than that, it was just perfect. Couldn't be more perfect!
Red Head Retreat met all my needs: Pet friendly, On the ocean. Great expansive view from the cottage of the ocean. Old house charm with updated modern conveniences. Clean. Comfortable beds. Wood fireplace for cozy atmosphere. Comfortable distance to respectful neighbours. Off the beaten track. Just what I imagined in my mind's eye. Upon arrival, I jumped for joy - it simply could not have been more perfect! |

OtherThis past August (2011), we spent a fantastic family day at Summerville Center Beach and Provincial Park. The weather was perfect. Blue skies with little white puffs of clouds floating overhead. Bright sun shimmering off the waves.Sam and Max were in their element - soaking wet and covered in sand. True to his creative character, Sam decided to try his winter sled out as a boogie board. Amazingly, it worked really well. The waves were perfect for a beginner boogie boarder. Large enough to be exciting, without being too big to be worrying for me! For me, there is nothing more relaxing than a day on the beach. The fresh air and sunshine do wonders to rejuvenate my spirit. AddressSummerville Center, NSGoogle Map |
